"How do most people dress?"
Casual. In fact, our Senior Pastor is usually in jeans. While we don't mind if someone was to wear a suit and tie, it sure isn't necessary. You'll fit right in by wearing what you like to wear on a night out with friends.
"How will I know where everything is?"
From the school parking lot to Kids' Church Check-In, everything is strategically and thoroughly marked with helpful signage. You won't miss a beat. Not only that, you'll find friendly people at the front of the school when you arrive who would enjoy showing you around.
"Will I be made to feel awkward?"
We take no pleasure in making people feel uncomfortable. Financial giving is elective, singing is elective--even the coffee is elective (though some find it irresistable!).
"Is it 'OK' if I'm just checking things out?"
We know it can take some time to find the right church home. The West Valley is full of wonderful churches that we consider ourselves to be in partnership with. We welcome you to simply experience Faith Harvest--no strings attached.
"Is there an emphasis to your doctrine?"
Faith Harvest is a Christian Church that emphasizes the centrality of salvation in Jesus Christ through faith alone. Faith Harvest believes that everything else God wants us to emphasize will flow out of a focus on His grace and love (Ephesians 3:19).
"Will you judge me for any particular reason?"
No. We don't like to be judged either, so we won't do it to you. Wherever you come from--wherever--you're welcome to know the love of Jesus Christ at Faith Harvest.
"Does your church offer people an opportunity to talk to someone about serious issues they may be facing?"
It would be our pleasure to help in any way we can. You'll be invited to fill out a Welcome Card toward the beginning of the service. With that card you can confidentially let us know how we can be of service to you.
Special Descriptive Terms We Use:
Welcome Card: A simple postcard-sized sheet that will give you the chance to let us know you were with us. One of our service leaders will tell you more about when and how to fill it out during the service.
Worship Through Giving: The way we refer to the reception of financial support to the church. Giving at Faith Harvest is entirely voluntary and confidential.
Partners: People that are members of our volunteer teams. Our Partners are the best people anywhere.
